I've just looked at bug 1062 at http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=1062 and what i did to remove most of the errors is :-
- ensure you have rpmbuild tools - grab the SRPM from the fedora directory in www.samba.org site - rebuild it as non root. (takes about an hour) - dmesg is now cleaner of "kernel errors present", "smb cannot connect etc"
