If you want to try something else, take a look at xpra (http://xpra.org/). It’s in EPEL8.
I have a somewhat dated page on x2go and xpra. It was made when nomachine updated their client (I was just using it for home use) and I didn't like the changes they had made.
I haven't kept it up to date, especially the xpra part, but it does give a quick start.
