Mine is the BE7-RAID and I did try it without RAID (moved the disk connector and turned off RAID). Neither FC 3 or Centos will install.

There are many different versions of the BE7 (BE7, BE7-G, BE7-RAID, BE7- S, BE7II) ... what about it doesn't work?

If you have RAID on the motherboard, you might try turning it off in the motherboard's bios.
