Hey Guys,
We have a central server which runs centos, most of the client machines run on windows. Does anybody know of a solution whereby we can manage antivirus for all the clients from the centos server? I know there are management consoles for managing antivirus on windows but we dont want to run a windows server..
Anybody have any ideas? Or are we just screwed and need to have a windows server for this?
Thanks, Wayne
Wayne,
CentOS 5 comes packaged with clamav. I have used clamav on a Fedora Core 4 and Fedora Core 5 units for quite some time and very pleased. I am getting ready to upgrade both of those servers with CentOS 5 and plan to use clamav on both.
