I am going to start doing backups to removable hard drives and I will need to send these hard drives to an off-site storage facility. I am looking for some way to protect the drives after I pull them out of the system. I was hoping to find some kind of clamshell enclosure similar to what is used with external hard drives, but so far I haven't found anything. Do you guys know of anything like this? How do you protect your removable drives when they are not in the computer?

When you buy drives at retail, they come packed in about 3 inches of foam on all sides around. If you have any of those boxes laying around with the foam, use that. Also make sure to put them in anti-static bags.
