The i386 one should boot on both 32/64bit platforms, but with only 256/512M of RAM I don't think you can install CenOS 6.x.
IIRC, 512 s/b enough for a text-mode install.
The CPU flag you're looking for in /proc/cpuinfo is "lm" (Long Mode).
