My monitor is a 4K unit but when I goto the System -> preferences -> hardware -> Displays there is selection for the 4K display. It stops at 1920x1080.
The var log x file shows the 4K resolutions in the file so that is good.
How do I get the selections for 4K to show up?

What is your graphics card model?
Which driver are you using?
What connector are you using (DVI, Display Port, HDMI)?
Does it work at 4k with Gnome, or KDE?
