I see this extending the logical volume, but not the filesystem on the logical volume. You can use resize2fs <device> to do that.

As Barry notes, you need to resize the file system. Since you already resized the LV, you need to use resize2fs.

You could have resized both the LV and file system with lvextend in the beginning (using one command) by passing -r or --resizefs parameter to lvextend.
