I had a CentOS running and working fine. Recently i had upgraded it to 4.4. I would like to do a raid1 on this machine. Is it possible to do it? Or do i need to reinstall the system with raid1?

It can be done, but it takes a little planning and a few reboots. Look at this; http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Software-RAID-HOWTO-7.html#ss7.6 But it is very dated, as the proper way to do it is using mdadm. If you want some help offlist, let me know.
