Installed version of doxygen (stock CentOS 5.9):
Name : doxygen Relocations: (not relocatable) Version : 1.4.7 Vendor: CentOS Release : 2 Build Date: Mon 11 Jun 2012 04:50:22 AM EDT Install Date: Fri 07 Jun 2013 12:14:55 PM EDT Build Host: builder10.centos.org Group : Development/Tools Source RPM: doxygen-1.4.7-2.src.rpm Size : 6518061 License: GPL Signature : DSA/SHA1, Mon 11 Jun 2012 07:12:14 AM EDT, Key ID a8a447dce8562897 URL : http://www.stack.nl/~dimitri/doxygen/index.html Summary : A documentation system for C/C++. Description : Doxygen can generate an online class browser (in HTML) and/or a reference manual (in LaTeX) from a set of documented source files. The documentation is extracted directly from the sources. Doxygen can also be configured to extract the code structure from undocumented source files.
Updated version I built (I need the newer version for a project I am working on):
Name : doxygen Relocations: (not relocatable) Version : 1.7.4 Vendor: Dimitri van Heesch Release : 1 Build Date: Thu 07 Mar 2013 03:35:19 PM EST Install Date: (not installed) Build Host: sauron.deepsoft.com Group : Development/Tools Source RPM: doxygen-1.7.4-1.src.rpm Size : 12551071 License: GNU General Public License Signature : DSA/SHA1, Thu 07 Mar 2013 03:44:05 PM EST, Key ID 2c1dec90653a4d80 Packager : Robert Heller heller@deepsoft.com URL : http://www.stack.nl/~dimitri/doxygen/index.html Summary : A documentation system for C/C++. This is what
rpm -hUv /extra/heller/src/RPMS/x86_64/doxygen-1.7.4-1.x86_64.rpm
tells me:
Preparing... ################################################## package doxygen-1.4.7-2.x86_64 (which is newer than doxygen-1.7.4-1.x86_64) is already installed
Check the epoch
So a package built in June of *last year*, with an lower version number is newer than a package built in March of this year? In which universe is RPM living in?
