What would cause this? This has happened to me once before on Fedora 3 (I think, maybe 2).
---- the 'skull & crossbones' is a kill for the next window/object you click on - be careful with that.
It is invoked by <Control><Alt>Esc key combination
handy when needed - bad to click on desktop when not needed.
