It's has become more complicated. It's best you visit http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?p=195455#post195455 if you wanna stay updated on this issue...

After investigating this case I noticed there was another SSH running on another port (can't remember what port that was). Logging in was however not possible. You may want to check this yourself using netstat -lntp
