try a 'yum remove openssl.i386' then retry.

In a situation like this, it will be helpful to see the arch of package names. Add this line:

%_query_all_fmt %%{name}-%%{version}-%%{release}.%%{arch}

to either ~/.rpmmacros or /etc/rpm/macros (system wide).
