Hi,
After some investigations, I can run Openffice 2.1 on CentOS 4.2 x86_64. The problem is the javadlx program.
The first solution is to comment the line javadlx in the file /usr/soft/bin/soffice. After doing this all works fine.
OR
An other second solution, is to not comment the line javadlx and remove the following package /usr/bin/yum -y remove java-1.4.2-gcj-compat-1.4.2.0-27jpp.noarch
After doing one of this, OpenOffice 2.1 start fine.
