Yes. I have all the relevant 32 bit libraries installed. 32 bit apps also need the 32 bit dri module. e.g. /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/r200_dri.so for radeon, which are not included in the x86_64 version of Centos. However, extracting the module from the x86 distro got me a bit further.
Unfortunately, from what I gather, back in the 2.6.9 days, the kernel 64 bit kernel module had problems running 32 bit apps so I was not actually able to get 32 bit glx apps working under Centos 4.2 x86_64.
Oh well, maybe in September...
\begin{flamebait, but not meant to be, really} Nvidia includes the 32bit libraries in their (closed, proprietary, disgusting, etc, etc) x86_64 drivers. They work well here. \end{flamebait}
