I had this working once but had to re-use the machine and didn't keep track of what it took. Does anyone have a list of the extra packages needed to run vmware server on a machine with the single-disk x86_64 server install + updates. glibc.i686 installed ok, but xorg-x11-libs.i386 has a conflict with fontconfig that I don't recall from the previous time. Could that have changed with the 4.3 updates?
I have come across that issue several times. I had to rpm -e --justdb --nodeps fontconfig to get things going.
