I know, but I don't want to manage users on 2 servers... What helps with that? Winbind?
PREABMLE: The fact that you have chosen Exchange 2000 means you are _stuck_ with Active Directory Services (ADS). Unless you want to chuck Exchange, you are _stuck_ with keeping your ADS.
You use 'chosen' above as to suggest that there are equivalent alternatives. Are there - for an organization that lives and dies by the scheduling features and shared folders in exchange?
- Winbind
- Simultaneous ADS and NsDS
- ADS-NsDS Synchronization
Is there some reason you omitted SFU from this list? Recently you said it would work in a similar situation to act as an NIS server with the Linux boxes as NIS clients. And by the way, does anyone know if there are any client license fees for the things provided by SFU?
