Hey all...I can't seem to find this anywhere. Is there a way to mirror
vault.centos.org via rsync? We're willing to be public about it if need
be.

Hello
I'm the sysadmin at the University of Carabobo, Venezuela, and
I want to make an only-i386 Public Centos Mirrow. Two questions:
*) The server will use 1/4 or less of an E1 link. Is it ok to use
msync.centos.org::CentOS or should I sync from somewhere else in
http://www.centos.org/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=13 ? In
the second case, is it ok to sync 2 times a day from one of
those mirrors?
*) Has anybody at hand a only-i386 rsync script to share with
me?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
due to space requirements I moved the CentOS tree to another directory.
For compatibility with links on your site I put a symlink to redirect
requests to, but I have to ask if you can change the URLs on your
Mirror-list page.
The OLD URLs (Italy - Daniele Carbonetti) are:
http://www.dcl-arch.it/pub/1/CentOS/ for HTTP access
ftp://ftp.dcl-arch.it/pub/1/CentOS/ for FTP access
The NEW URLs are:
http://www.dcl-arch.it/pub/2/CentOS/ for HTTP access
ftp://ftp.dcl-arch.it/pub/2/CentOS/ for FTP access
What changes is the "2" instead of "1" in the directory tree.
The Rsync URL remains unchanged.
Another question:
I see some of the mirror are providing DVD images too. How can I mirror
these too (rsync URL I should to use to sync them)?
Thanks a lot!
Bye!

I just noticed that our mirror has been listed on the CentOS
mirror list.
That's fine; I've updated my sync script to sync against
msync.centos.org.
We are mirroring CentOS 3 and 4 (and will mirror 5) for i386 and
x86_64. At some point we may drop support for CentOS 3, but I
can't say when that might happen (not until after CentOS 5 is
released, for sure, and probably not for several months after
that).
Mudd has very good bandwidth, so the limits are probably on the
users' side or caused by the older hardware the machine is using.
We sync three times a day.
