Hi, I have set up a mirror of CentOS 3 and 4, i386 and x86_64 at http://centos.zanker.org/centos ftp://centos.zanker.org/centos rsync://centos.zanker.org::CentOS Everything for those architectures is mirrored except the isos. The server has a 100Mbit/s connection to the Internet. Regards, Mike

hello, the centos mirror at ftp.iitm.ac.in now includes x86_64 also (previously had only i386). everything else remains the same. -- sriram

Selective RSync

Hi, To save bandwidth, I'm setting up a local repository/mirror from which our CentOS 4 farm will pull its updates. Since we are using only the x86 architecture, I'd also like to save space by not downloading and storing anything that isn't required for the x86 architecture. Does anyone have any experience or advice on how best to configure rsync to skip the parts of the mirror that aren't necessary for the x86 architecture? Thanks, Jim Zimmerman

Beta DVD access

Hi dear mirrors admin One of colleague want to test the beta of Centos 5 using DVD iso. Unfortunatelly at our university (where is located distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr, BTW: your dns work fine :), we cannot use peer to peer software, included bittorent, so we cannot get DVD iso. Would it be possible to have iso availlable through ftp or http or rsync. If need I can host them on distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr. Regards.

Actually I just found your email from several months ago. It appears as though you are rsyncing 2 times daily. I suggest rsyncing more frequently (at least 4 times daily) to keep your mirror from showing up as out of date. If the time stamp files are too old (which are updated during the rsync) then when the mirmon script runs it will show that your mirror is out of date. Resolving "no time" on status page

Hi, For mirror.nyi.net we are getting status of "no time" under the last stat column on the status page. It occasionally succeeds but is "no time" most of the time. I've been trying to troubleshoot this but I'm running out of ideas. Mirror is up to date and time stamps look okay. We have lots of available bandwidth. Any ideas what could be causing this? thanks
