DVD's

Centos, What do we have to do to get DVD's onto our mirrors ? We had them for the longest of time and now I am noticing they are gone again. We would like to keep offering our community the ability of getting the DVD's from us through our network vs having to deal with other means. Please let me know. Mirrors out of sync

My rsync process keeps download and deleteing these files depending on what servers I hit. 5.2/updates/i386/RPMS/samba-3.0.28-0.el5.8.i386.rpm 5.2/updates/i386/RPMS/samba-client-3.0.28-0.el5.8.i386.rpm 5.2/updates/i386/RPMS/samba-common-3.0.28-0.el5.8.i386.rpm 5.2/updates/i386/RPMS/samba-swat-3.0.28-0.el5.8.i386.rpm 5.2/updates/x86_64/RPMS/samba-3.0.28-0.el5.8.x86_64.rpm 5.2/updates/x86_64/RPMS/samba-client-3.0.28-0.el5.8.x86_64.rpm 5.2/updates/x86_64/RPMS/samba-common-3.0.28-0.el5.8.i386.rpm 5.2/updates/x86_64/RPMS/samba-common-3.0.28-0.el5.8.x86_64.rpm 5.2/updates/x86_64/RPMS/samba-swat-3.0.28-0.el5.8.x86_64.rpm They are downloaded from servers: centosk and centosi2. Then they are deleted when syncing from servers: centosq and centosu. Mirrors are not updating

I've noticed several US mirrors that are out of date. I've had to switch mirrors twice now but there seems to be a master mirror somewhere that's stuck on an August 3rd timestamp. what should be in centos 5.1 directory?

i am the sys admin of the centos mirror at ftp.iitm.ac.in; i sync from us-msync.centos.org. in the last 2-3 weeks, i seem to be having a problem with the 5.1 directory - it keeps flip flopping between empty (but for the readme file) and fully populated (os, extras, updates etc etc) - downloading and deleting a couple of gb every time. i randomly checked a few mirros and this seems to be widespread. what gives? -- sriram

CentOS 5.2 Xen 3

HI y'all, I'm trying to install NetBSD on Xen 3. I get the following error, my machine is IBM xSeries 346 Intel Xeon 3.2GH BIOS Version 1.05. Centos 5.2. [root@xen xen]# xm create vm02 -c Using config file "./vm02". Error: HVM guest support is unavailable: is VT/AMD-V supported by your CPU and enabled in your BIOS? Thanks, - Augustin

New Mirror

We have setup a new CentOS mirror. We synchronize 6 times a day, and have 200Mbits of available bandwidth. The server is located in Richmond, VT, USA and is hosted by Green Mountain Access, http://www.greenmountainaccess.net/ URL's are: http://mirrors.greenmountainaccess.net/centos/ ftp://mirrors.greenmountainaccess.net/centos/ rsync://mirrors.greenmountainaccess.net/centos I have one question/issue: When I hit a different server for example centosi2 vs centosq it resets the numeric user ID from 500 to 501 and back and forth. I take it there is probably a user name associated with the files. If so what would that user name be? New Mirror Questions

I'm in the process of setting up a new mirror. I'd like to get an idea of what's the typical monthly bandwidth usage I can expect. I'll be mirroring centos 4 & 5, all arches, no isos. My server is located in Los Angeles, USA. Can any folks give me some numbers on a US mirror with no isos? Also, what should I set my bwlimit to? I'd like to mirror off of msync.centos.org. Here's what I'm using: rsync -avH --bwlimit=256 --delay-updates --delete-after --stats Any tips I might not be aware of? -Chris
