ftp.riken.jp upgraded to 10GbE WAN connection

Hi We have successfully installed 10GbE NIC on our ftp server ftp.riken.jp(riksun.riken.jp ,134.160.38.1) and connected to WAN at 10 Gbps last week experimentally. New mirror: Washington State University

Hi all: I just "cleaned up" my private mirror of a couple years and decided to make it public. It is at: http://centos.eecs.wsu.edu I sync 3 times a day to us-mrepo.centos.org, and I carry the entire tree. Currently only accessible via http (but I intend to work on making rsync available eventually). I am on Internet2, and I've sustained 15MB/s download from osuosl although actual bandwidth limits are unknown and probably closer to 30MB/s. The slowest link in the path is OC-12. The server is located in Pullman, WA at the main Washington State University campus. It is run my myself (best e-mail: kusznir(a)eecs.wsu.edu) in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (http://www.eecs.wsu.edu). This mirror does currently have the entire 5.3 tree. --Jim

Hi, Over the next 24 - 48 hrs people will start seeing the 5.3 tree going out to the mirrors. A request to all mirror admins: please ensure that the 5.3 tree is not visible to the public over http/rsync/ftp till the release is announced. Depending on how long it takes to get a reasonable number of machines with the complete 5.3 tree, were looking at a release announcement on the 29th March Morning UTC. The usual bit-flipping will be done from this end. - KB
