Wrong timestamp by pulling CentOS-incdvd

In addition, we kill the previous rsync once a day if there is a previous rsync to msync.centos.org::CentOS-incdvd running and start a new rsync to msync.centos.org::CentOS-incdvd . At the Centos archive directory at ftp.riken.jp the time stamps are now as follows. But now there are several sites which mirror ages are 12.1-12.2 days now including ftp.riken.jp. So I think the time stamps obtained by msync.centos.org::CentOS-incdvd is sometimes wrong (12.x days ago) while timestamps obtained by msync.centos.org::CentOS is always correct. For the temporary solution to this problem, I added the rsync msync.centos.org::CentOS/timestamp.txt /ftp/Linux/centos/ rsync msync.centos.org::CentOS/TIME /ftp/Linux/centos/ after the rsync -avzH --delete msync.centos.org::CentOS-incdvd /ftp/Linux/centos command in the daily mirror script. vault.centos.org rsync module?

Evening all, I was just looking to try and get access to rsync on vault.centos.org and get a full, and semi regular (maybe once a week) sync going from it. Centos Mirror Quality

Hello, http://www.centos.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=118 states that your automatic redirect system chooses between 100 mirrors around the world. We at ftp.sunet.se would like to know if our mirror is on the list ? If we are; do you have any logging info about how our mirror is behaving ? We are experiencing timeouts from our servers and would like to know if you have too. We want to find the problem so we can make our servers even better. :) If you do not have time to answer or if you prefere to not go into such detail please let us know. Example of info that might be useful: Have you experienced any more timeouts from us ? If so, what kind of error ? When ? What types of tests do you perform ? From the same host all the time ? Do your have response time measurements ? Are they consistently close to the limit or is it just the failing connections that are slow ? Yum update from local mirror server

We would like to use this mirror server to do (yum update) instead of using default yum servers to save bandwidth and faster updates Please let me know step by step how to configure my servers to use http://mirror.citynethost.com/centos/ for yum update Regards M.
