Hello, http://www.centos.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=118 states that your automatic redirect system chooses between 100 mirrors around the world. We at ftp.sunet.se would like to know if our mirror is on the list ? If we are; do you have any logging info about how our mirror is behaving ? We are experiencing timeouts from our servers and would like to know if you have too. We want to find the problem so we can make our servers even better. :) If you do not have time to answer or if you prefere to not go into such detail please let us know. Example of info that might be useful: Have you experienced any more timeouts from us ? If so, what kind of error ? When ? What types of tests do you perform ? From the same host all the time ? Do your have response time measurements ? Are they consistently close to the limit or is it just the failing connections that are slow ? I've checked several CentOS mirrors and it seems that the 5.3 SRPMS directories are not complete. i.e. I see no repodata directory under centos/5.3/os/SRPMS and it appears that some SRPMs are missing. Out of Sync Mirrors??

For almost two weeks my rsync has been flip flopping between downloading and deleting the following directories and sub directories: 4.6/docs/ 4.6/extras/ 4.6/contrib/ 4.6/centosplus/ 4.6/os/x86_64/ 4.6/os/i386/ Viewing historical releases directory structure it appears that these shouldn't be there seeings how 4.7 is now out?? Hi all: I just "cleaned up" my private mirror of a couple years and decided to make it public. It is at: http://centos.eecs.wsu.edu I sync 3 times a day to us-mrepo.centos.org, and I carry the entire tree. Currently only accessible via http (but I intend to work on making rsync available eventually). I am on Internet2, and I've sustained 15MB/s download from osuosl although actual bandwidth limits are unknown and probably closer to 30MB/s. The slowest link in the path is OC-12. The server is located in Pullman, WA at the main Washington State University campus. It is run my myself (best e-mail: kusznir(a)eecs.wsu.edu) in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (http://www.eecs.wsu.edu) This mirror does currently have the entire 5.3 tree. --Jim

Hello Here I come again with the problem exposed in http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-mirror/2008-September/002031.html . According to the current page that I see at http://isoredirect.centos.org/centos/5/isos/i386/, Romanian users are still offered .cz and .pl sites as fallback. However for most of the Romanian internet users, good fallbacks are .de and .at . Almost all the peering connections from Romania have their endpoints in Frankfurt, Amsterdam and London, transparently crossing Austria. Could someone make the required changes, please ?
