New CentOS Mirror in Atlanta

Hello, I have set up a CentOS mirror in Atlanta. I have a transfer speed of 100Mbit, 300GB of monthly bandwith transfer. I am on AS15003. HTTP can be accessed at http://mirror.techbnc.org, FTP at ftp://mirror.techbnc.org/, and RSYNC at rsync://mirror.techbnc.org/centos5. The sponsoring organization is techBNC (http://techbnc.org) Please let me know if there's anything else I need to do.

I can. I'm on comcast business class internet I can maintain those speeds no problem. Remove uidaho mirror

Hi all: I noticed that the uidaho.edu mirror is still listed. uidaho is just a few minutes away from us (WSU), and I've spoken to their mirror manager. Due to internal problems, they've permanently decommissioned their mirror server and parted it out. They're gone, and should be removed from the list. If nothing else, their status should be sufficient to disqualify them... --Jim

Mailserver move

Hi subscribers, the sponsor of the machine our mailserver runs on will be physically moving the machine at around May 27th 04:00 UTC. This move will take until around May 27th 07:00 UTC (or shorter). This means that there will be no activity on the mailing lists during that time. We all hope that the machine will come up without problems again after the move. Our mirror is is gone from timedhost.txt list

Hello, somehow since yesterday our mirror (mirror.duomenucentras.lt) gone from timedhosts.txt, so all of our serves started using external mirrors! Geolocation Question

Hi there... We operate a mirror in Canada currently (centos.mirror.nexicom.net) My question is in regards to geolocation - does the CentOS mirror network only send us traffic from only Canada in theory? I haven't ran the stats in a long time to see where our CentOS mirror traffic is coming from.... Our network is quite capable of handling lots of US traffic for example and if there is a "flag" to be turned on to allow it then please do so... our network map is located at http://netops.nexicom.net/ Thanks, Paul
