Matt Selinux is disabled. Not sure what to put in the command line exactly to test rsync. I never did this before so I am lost on the whole thing. I would have to test this in the command line to see it. If you can give me the command to put in and I will see if has any errors. its likely because you are using cpanel to do this and its being a stickler for permissions and quota's, have you made sure the account you are running it under has a large enough quota > approx 175GB? also have you made sure you have amended the scripts so that it downloads into appropriate paths? for anonymous ftp on cpanel, you have to have files in the public_ftp folder and have anonymous ftp enabled within whm, however public_ftp wont serve out on http, so you will probably need to symlink your public_html folder to public_ftp for that to work or duplicate the whole mirror which would be a waste of resources and hd space i cant say i would recommend mirroring from a cpanel server but its not impossible

Having trouble setting up the mirror

I have been working on this for a few days now and connot seem to get it to rsync with the mirrors. I tried a few things and I am not sure if I did something wrong or missed a step but it just wont connect right. I tried a script that Nick Olsen gave me but it still wont work. Is there maybe someone who can help me set it up right. I can give them access to the server to do so. If not can I get step by step direction on how to get this done. The server I am running is running on centos with cpanel. It is my server and I have websites on it too but I reservered space for the mirror with plenty of space to spare. I really dont want to be a pain but I want to see how this is done. The whole rsync thing is messing me up. To whom it may concern: I set up a mirror for centos but I am not sure if I did it right. the address is http://mirror.bluethundercomputers.net/centos I set up cron to update every 4 hours dont know if this is to much or not. Or should I set it to every 6 hours instead?? I added all of the .torrent files from the CentOS tree to my torrent server and have discovered that the following torrents fail with "Requested download is not authorized for use with this tracker." CentOS-4.3-i386-srcDVD.torrent CentOS-4.3-i386-src1to4.torrent Also the following torrents don't appear to have any seeders: centos-4.7-s390-bindvd.torrent centos-3.8-ia64-bin1to3.torrent centos-3.8-s390x-bindvd.torrent centos-3.8-ia64-bindvd.torrent centos-4.3-alpha-bin1to4.torrent CentOS-3.9-srcDVD.torrent centos-3.8-s390-bindvd.torrent centos-4.3-alpha-bindvd.torrent centos-4.7-ia64-bin1to4.torrent centos-4.3-alpha-src.torrent With the exception of the last one "centos-4.3-alpha-src.torrent" which has a single seeder. If the consensus is that these are old and no longer desired to be seeded, then shouldn't we remove the .torrent files from the tree to prevent user frustration? Adam

Hi guys. Organization: Openmirror Website: www.openmirrir.ir Country: Iran, but the server is located in Germany. Main website is under construction and will be available in 2 or 3 days. We have mirrored CentOS. ALL files have been mirrored: DVD and all architectures. Mirror can be accessed via HTTP and ftp: http://mirror.openmirror.ir/centos ftp://mirror.openmirror.ir/centos rsync is also provided: rsync://rsync.openmirror.ir/centos cron job is updating repository 4 times a day. We have about 2 TB of bandwidth and port is 100Mbps. Thank you very much.
