I hope someboy speak up Spanish, my english is not good. Recently i set up a new mirror at the Polytechnich University of Pachuca, i put this configuration on mi cron: rsync -aqvH mirror.stanford.edu::mirrors/centos/4.4/ . with this i receive a replication of a centos 4, but today the rsync command, do not work, because theres nothing in my screen when i run this command, i hope somebody can helpme. Pheraphs, 95% of our servers is proudly run Centos. Thanks. _______________________________________________________________ Espero que alguien que hable espa;ol mi ingles es bastante malo. Recientemente instale un servidor para convertirlo en mirror de centos en la Universidad Politecnica de Pachuca, puse esta configuracion en mi cron: rsync -aqvH mirror.stanford.edu::mirrors/centos/4.4/ . con eso hice mi primer sincronizacion pero hoy al correr ese comando no aparece nada en pantalla y al parecer ya no esta actualizando, espero alguien me pueda ayudar. Preparing a new mirror

Greetings! I've just started preparing our mirror server to become publicly listed. At the moment we're only doing HTTP access, and this is an experimental setup, so we have not imposed a specific bandwidth cap yet. The connection is multi-homed over our "value network" which includes PCCW, nLayer, TeliaSonera, and local peering. We're basically looking to garner usage levels and determine what level of service we are going to ultimately want to provide. We're doing the sync 4 times per day as of now. We're mirroring ONLY x86_64 and i386 of CentOS 3 and 4. We'll mirror 5 when it becomes available. I'm interested in looking at mirroring the DVD ISOs, but I'm not sure where I should sync them from. Updates to the Versaweb CentOS mirror

Hello Folks, I've got a couple of updates for our mirror. Effective Feb. 1 2007, we will be moving our public CentOS mirror to the versaweb.com domain rather than the versaweb.net domain where it currently resides - the mirror location will now be mirrors.versaweb.com/centos/ - please update the link for the mirror, and also the link to our main site, http://www.versaweb.com Also, our mirror should be listed as a tier-1 mirror, since our network now has multi-gigabit capacity. Finally, we relocated our main POP to Las Vegas, NV about a year ago. I've sent several requests to update the location reported in your system to Nevada, since that is where the mirror server now resides, but it doesn't look like it was ever changed. Is there a policy on specifically what you have to mirror in order to be including in the mirrors list on the website? We would like to mirror only the latest release but would like to be used as a public mirror. What is the process after mirroring the latest distribution to get added to the mirrors list?

Minor permission problem in /3.8/isos/ia64/.~tmp~

hi, There is a directory with a permission problem on the mirror sites. Whenever I rsync my own mirror, I get the following error: receiving file list ... rsync: opendir "/3.8/isos/ia64/.~tmp~" (in CentOS) failed: Permission denied (13) done I 've already contacted my upstream mirror, but they say that the file permissions are read from the CentOS file repository.
