Sorry for the delay. I hear you on wanting to mirror DVD's, We want to as well. As you can see, Ralph touched on the issue as you can see from his email. Lets hope for access.
Here is the script we use, It sync's DVD's from mirror.cogentco.com (a. Because they have DVD's, B. Because we peer with them so its fast), Then it sync's the rest of it from us-msync.
Please see the attachment.

Hey Nick. Well we are not "anyone". We are the fastest mirror in the country. Today we started also to sync Arch/Fedora. Please send me your solution. But in any case I want a good relationship. We are providing mirror for more than 2 years and serving more than 20TB per month. I just need to get all things well organized because sometimes a need to download a DVD for myself and I have to download it from Internet not from the local intranet. Local Intranet (private peerings and exchange traffic) in our country is free or charge. Thanks. Secured Hosting Solutions

Subject: Re: [CentOS-mirror] Mirror Update / Moldova I'm not the authoritative person here, But I know in the past, They don't give DVD-msync access to anyone (Well, anyone new that is). And they've held firm on that for as long as I've been mirroring.
The current workaround that we've all kind of agreed on has been sync everything from msync, Then pull the DVD's from a mirror that does have them.
I've got a script that will do it if you would like.
They say after the release of 6.x they are going to re-visit the mirror infrastructure. And possibly at that time, They will open the DVD msync pool back up to the rest of the mirrors that want it. Nick Olsen

Dear,
Two days ago a major powerfailure in our Datacentrum caused some hardware
problems. We turned our server off so we can replace the broken parts. I
hope centos.wickedway.nl will be back up this weekend.

Hello,
We have a new public mirror set up at
http://mirrors.200p-sf.sonic.net/centos/ and
ftp://mirrors.200p-sf.sonic.net/centos/. We are syncing once a day. The
server is located in San Francisco, CA and we have a 1 gig connection
for the server. This is hosted by Sonic.net. Please add us to the list
of public servers, and let me know if you need any other information.
Thanks!
Dear CentOS-mirror Admins,
The mirror service at the Centre for Scientific Computing at Warwick
has mirrored CentOS for donkey's years but I don't believe we are an
official mirror.
We are already a TIER-1 mirror for UK with openSUSE and would like to
do the same for CentOS.
I'm not entirely sure, but I do believe that anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk
used to be an official CentOS mirror in the past but I don't recall why
it's not any more.
We're serving via:
http://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk/mirrors/CentOS/
ftp://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk/CentOS/
rsync://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk/CentOS/
The machine is connected via a 1Gbps link to ja.net (AS786) and uses
fast, fibre-channel disk. Rsync from msync.centos.org::CentOS/ runs
every 4h.
At present, we're mirroring 4 and 5 trees, will 6 as well when ready.
Perhaps something can be done about it. Apologies if this is not the
right place for this question.
Best regards,

Hey guys,
I've seen your mails, but with 5.6 being in the pipe, I have to delay
your mirror additions to the weekend. I fixed a few things, but that's
faster than adding a new one.
You're not forgotten :)
Cheers,
Ralph
I've been experience repeated apache hangs. I've had to temporarily
disable this mirror while I diagnose. I will re-enable it as soon as
possible.

Hello
http://www.centos.org/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=32 claims
that in Malaysia IP ServerOne Solutions Sdn Bhd (
http://www.ipserverone.com/ ) carries DVD isos, but they do not. Can
this be fixed ( either by the mirror maintainers by really providing the
DVD isos or by the mirror page by replacing "yes" with "no" in the
"Direct DVD download" field ) please ?
regards
manuel
While I was scanning some tier-1 mirrors for ISOs, I noticed that
mirror.team-cymru.org/CentOS is listed here as carrying the DVDs.
http://www.centos.org/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=30
However, I was unable to find any DVD isos on this mirror, either in the old
5.3 and 5.4 directories, or the currently active 5.5 and 5.6 directories.
Is this mirror supposed to carry DVDs?
Thanks,
Kelvin
I help maintain a private mirror for my company. I recently found out that
our mirror is still carrying CentOS DVD ISOs for 5.3 and 5.4. I deleted
them, and my next rsync (from mirrors.kernel.org) brought them back.
I sampled a few of the other tier-1 mirrors (constraints: providing DVDs and
RSYNC access, and first few on the mirror list) and found that:
* mirrors.kernel.org has 5.3 & 5.4 DVD isos.
* mirror.ncsa.illinois.edu has 5.3 and 5.4 DVD isos.
* mirror.steadfast.net has 5.3 and 5.4 DVD isos
* centos.mirror.netriplex.com has 5.3 and 5.4 DVD isos
Is there any reason to still keep these around? Can they be deleted from
tehse mirrors (or the master mirrors) or should I modify my rsync scripts
locally?
Thanks,
Kelvin
