Yeah, the i386 is correct, for x86_64 I see correct numbers for the actual isos (8 hosts each), for the DVD I see 3 hosts and for the directory I also only see three hosts, which isn't correct indeed. Among other distribution, CentOS mirror maintaining system is the most easy system in current scenario. One problem is that the data sometimes really is off, so machines in the UK are flagged as being in the US or Canada and things like that. Second: It doesn't help in cases when you'd like all the machines in your DC to hit the mirror which also is in that DC. If you aren't the admin of all of those machines, using the same AS or /16 would be great. The granularity of that isn't fine enough at times (see above or other examples in this thread). Monday, October 18th, 20:00 UTC. And keep in mind please that that means to move a *large* installed set of machines over to a different mirror system. And that system is run by a crowd which doesn't really like changes in their eco system. So the more people can chime in with their knowledge ... One thing I know is that we won't begin restructuring *before* 6 is out. Terrible .edu mirror performance

Anyone else seeing dismal speeds from multiple .edu mirrors? Over the past few days? Several .edu mirrors over the past week have been running at 3kB/sec - 50kB/sec forcing me to have to clean my yum cache just to get through the update process. Latest .edu offender at 3kB/sec is mirror.vcu.edu. Even yum thinks it's a fast mirror for some reason. I know it's great that schools are pitching in, but c-mon we need some kind of performance monitor for the Tier1 mirrors...not just up or down tests. -- Randy M. www.FastServ.com

Howdy, folks... I'm currently only able to mirror 5.5 without ISOs due to disk space constraints on my mirror server, but it's public, and offers good connectivity inside of Romania. Locale: Bucharest, Romania HTTP via http://mirrors.sykotik.org/pub/centos/ FTP via ftp://mirrors.sykotik.org/pub/centos/ We've got 1gbit to ilink in Bucharest, who has very good uncapped connectivity inside of Romania, but we're capped at about 10mbit for international traffic. Very Slow Mirror

Hi there, I've checked from a few datacenters to make sure it wasn't any particular location, but mirrors.bluehost.com appears to be limited to 10KB/s. Yum's "fastest-mirrors" keeps selecting this for a handful of servers making yum very slow. The issue has been present for at last the past several days. I imagine I'm not the only one with this issue? They don't show up in the main mirror list, but they show up in 'ok' status on the mirror status page. --Graham
