Problems with Centos 6.4 mirror

I'm having problems with the Centos 6 Updates primary.sqlite.bz2 file today. I hope this is the correct list to report this to. $ bunzip2 -t 83126d8c763e8bb681c7f11cc25bab255b053d8cbd4228035ea146254bf74624-primary.sqlite.bz2 bunzip2: 83126d8c763e8bb681c7f11cc25bab255b053d8cbd4228035ea146254bf74624-primary.sqlite.bz2: data integrity (CRC) error in data I am using rsync to keep a local mirror up to date. I've pointed at a different mirror and get the same file, so it appears that the master server is at fault. I assume there is nothing to be done except wait until the next sync cycle, but I thought I'd make people aware. Multiple mirrors: The requested URL returned error: 416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable

Hello, Since at least approximately 12am (Eastern Standard Time) today, on November 5th, 2013, we started getting HTTP 416 (Requested Range Not Satisfiable) errors on a file located in /6.4/updates/x86_64/repodata/ (as seen in the output of the « yum -v upgrade » command below). Our mirror is properly synchronized against the master "msync.CentOS.org", and there are no files to be updated. These errors seem to appear on every tried mirror on any fresh installed x86_64 system, even after a « yum clean all ». The system tries other mirrors, but eventually gives up since all of them respond with the same HTTP error code. For me, it seems that something went very wrong when the .sqlite file was generated. rsync -H flag

Hi guys, CentOS 5.10 is currently being synced to mirrors. While monitoring the synchronization status, I noticed that there are a number of mirrors that apparently don't use the -H flag to preserve hard links. Using that flag would have multiple benefits: 1) Reduced hard disk space. Some i386 packages are also present in the x86_64 tree. These are hard links with their counterparts in the i386 directory. By using the hard links, those files would need to be stored only once on your hard disk. 2) Faster sync times at release. Almost every package in 5.10 is already in a 5.9 directory -- either cr, fasttrack, os or updates. Those not using the rsync -H flag will now need to download the 5.10 os RPMs, instead of just making more hard links to the already existing files. Obviously this does not apply to the .iso files, those will need to be downloaded in any case. 3) Bandwidth consumption would also be reduced, both from your side and from the CentOS msync service side. The msync servers are under a very heavy burden at release times, therefore anything that reduces the traffic would help everyone. For reference: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/CreatePublicMirrors

Hi, I've just noticed that our local mirror, centos.mirrors.arminco.com is not being included in the mirrorlist script's output, f.e. http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=6&arch=x86_64&repo=os I believe something's wrong with the geomirror rules, as I've tried several Armenian IP ranges, and none get the local mirror in the output.
