New CentOS mirror

Hi all Our CentOS mirror is now available at http://mirror.netrino.co.uk/mirror.centos.org/. Currently it is HTTP only, but FTP will follow shortly. It has been running for a month or two, synchronising every 5 hours. We have seen no reliability issues thus far and are therefore releasing it to the public. The server is physically located in Meridian Gate data centre, London Docklands, England. It has 5x1gbps Etherchannel bonded uplinks onto our 10gbps backbone, so it will likely run out of disk IO before saturating the available bandwidth. Thanks for the update. I've noticed that on the mirror list my province shows up as Ontario while all the others show up an ON, will this have an impact on anything? How to

Hello, Our hosting company in the Netherlands would like to become a mirror on a dedicated server we aren't using anymore that way it doesn't just stand there useless. But we have a few questions before we start and I hope you can help us out: When we run: rsync -aqzH --delete msync.centos.org::CentOS /path/to/local/mirror/root we will mirror everything from Centos even version 2 and 3 and thats kind of old and takes up lots of disc space nobody uses. I'm wondering two things: How much disc space will it cost to mirror everything with the above command. Is there a way to only mirror Centos 5 and 4 (and 6 wen it will be released) and how much space will that take? local mirror , weird connection reset by peer

Hi all, I'm creating a CentOS mirror in my Centos 5.5 but I'm still unable to sync my tree with any mirror because of this rsync error: rsync: read error: Connection reset by peer (104) rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(614) [receiver=2.6.8] rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (365775 bytes received so far) [generator] rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(463) [generator=2.6.8] always at the same point ( random kde package stucks until it returns that error message ): os/x86_64/CentOS/kde* I tried many mirrors but the problem persists. Also tried deleting and starting from scratch... no way it stucks at kde* packages. I'm storing it on an exported NFS filesystem mounted correctly ( NFS Server: Freenas 0.7.1 Shere). It's odd that this is not working while a fedora mirroring runs successfully every day on the same machine and same filesystem.
