5.5 Tree Update

I apologize if this was already stated, but it's been a very busy week on my side outside the mirror list mails. Does it appear the odd syncing issues are resolved and the msync servers are all happy? I removed my --delete yesterday afternoon for good measure and wanted to put my config back to normal to ensure I'm not serving any erroneous (old) content. Dry runs looks good, but just wanted to see if there was confirmation. Thanks to everyone for all the hard work on this! removal of mirror

Hello. Unfortunately i have to say to remove the mirror pathfinder.ipcb.pt from the lists. My school needs the space for other servers. I hope some day i can rebuild the mirror and share it with everyone. Regards Tiago Santos

Lost 5.4

Aloha and thanks for all your hard work on the pending release. I am confused and a little nervous. I was just beginning a net-install of 5.4, and suddenly it disappeared from my mirror. I see that the 5.x tree is now gone. My rsync job from msync.centos is still running, but, my timestamp has rolled back to May 8. Do I need to do something, NOW, to minimize the lost functionality of my mirror, or are we all along for the ride, now? --scott

Exept that it is outdated. DVD-access

We would like to do our mirroring from the master-servers, and also have access to the dvd's. Our mirror (centos.uib.no) is on gigabit internet, and is open to the public (and has been for some time). It is not good enough that we have to sync from other mirrors that might not be reliable, and stuff keeps getting downloaded and removed this way. So, please add our IP 129.177.13.104 to the access list for dvd-syncing, and send me the info on which rsync-server to use for the syncs. 5.5 plan

hi guy, 5.5 is presently syncing within .centos.org we hope to open this to mirror sync in the evening tomorrow. Please note that we'd like to embargo the tree till 22:30 UTC 13th May 2010. The rsync's are running with a reduced permission. We will bit-flip fairly early in the day, so most mirrors should get about 36+ hours to sync the tree, and then another 10 - 12 hours for the bit-flip to propogate through. 5.5 is just under 20G in size. Mirrors that carry the DVD will get about 29G. 5.4 will move to vault in about 2 weeks after 5.5 is released. Many thanks to all you guys who run mirrors for the project, its always appreciated.
