Hey all,
The HOWTO mentioned to email the list whenever you make changes to your
mirror including update information. My mirror now updates 4 times daily
(hours 0, 6, 12, and 18 -0500).
Later!

We need to create a local repository of dev.centos.org. Is there an rsync
target we can point to to get it?
I can see an rsync server on that host, but I can't it to give me a list of
modules...
Thanks much.

Hi,
is there some official (recomended) way how to handle DVD isos with
32bit (i386) CentOS (4.3). The included apache (2.0.52) does not allow
to handle files over 2GB. I see two possibilities:
- offer httpd package compiled with large-files support
- suggest some light-weight HTTP daemon to redirect request for ISOs on
(boa?) + maybe write some howto
merlin.fit.vutbr.cz does have DVD isos on disk, but cannot serve them,
that's bad...
I am going to implement the second approach but want to know if someone
had solved this yet before I start.
Thanks in advance.

We have set up mirmon to monitor the status of our mirrors.
http://mirror-status.centos.org
Please check on the status shown for your miror as there are a few that
are very out of date , and a few uncontactable.
Any mirrors not listed are flagged as down in our database. Please advise
if they are back up.
This data will shortly feed into the mirror list on our website, and we
will be setting up a system to email admins when there mirror is bad.
Mirmon only checks the timestamp on the mirror , but does not check mirror
content, so is only a rough guide, sufficient to tell whether mirrors
are bad, but in effect not whether they are good ...
Our mirrorlist system checks the validity of the repodata.xml file for
each repo by comparing it against the master and only offering those that
match, similarily our iso redirect checks the file details against those
on the master server so both check that the mirrors are good.
Cheers
Lance
