I really can't believe this, am I the only one that mirrors CentOS content using an unpriviledged user instead of root (and notices this) ?
This is not the first time something like this happens and probably it won't be the last if you do not make something about it. Yes, I know you are copying those files from a read-only media but this is not an excuse for not setting the "writable" permission later.
