I would estimate that we are 90% DVD in our downloads. Pulling some really quick stats from this month to date in order of requests:

Here are some stats from mirror.ncsa.illinois.edu for the past few months. I don't have any useful stats before that, since our current server came online in mid-February.
Hits of CD & DVD ISOs:
Month 5-CD 5-DVD 4-CD 4-DVD Jun 2011 146 2888 220 58 May 2011 484 6409 612 10404 Apr 2011 1920 1060 556 234565 Mar 2011 4943 10086 690 384329 Feb 2011 454 409 397 188
My data seems to support your decision, especially since it would take 4-8 hits to download all the CDs, vs. 1-2 hits to download the DVD ISOs. I'm puzzled why the CentOS-4 DVDs appear to be so disproportionately popular.

hi guys,
For CentOS-6 we are thinking of dropping the CD isos from the main distro. So there will only be an os/ and isos/ will have the DVD and netinstall CD only.
However, in order to make that decision we would love to get some stats from mirror operators about download frequency of CD isos and DVD isos. Would it be possible to get something like that ? Just numbers posted to this list are fine. If we can get them split for CentOS-4 and CentOS-5, even better.
Thanks
