mirror.centos.org has a broken package database, there are some packages with wrong SHA1 Sums, therefore yum throws the following error message: "[Errno -1] Package does not match intended download"

Same kind of error here, AFAICT running "createrepo 5.2/os/x86_64" fixed it.

I see a lot of 416's on my mirror, too.
Running createrepo hasn't changed this; is this because the downloaders need to do a yum clean first?

Probably, and you probably need to run it on the updates directory too.
I did not do any heavy testing, all I know is createrpo allowed me to populate a mock chroot, which was failing before.

I have re-run metadata on the master mirrors ... be advised if your metatdata is different that the centos version, your mirror will not be available as a public mirror. We don't allow different metadata to server customers.
The new metadata should be updated to all the centos.org mirrors within the next 30 minutes.

Fair enough.
The new metadata should be updated to all the centos.org mirrors within the next 30 minutes.
I still don't understand why I get a lot of these 416 entries:

Lets let the metadata get out there ... and some people will need to
"yum clean metadata"
OR just have the cache time out

It looks OK, mock is happy. :-)
