Hi Irakli,
The continental information for the region in which your mirror is located (and I’ll be corrected if I’m wrong here), is automatically pulled from the MaxMind GeoIP database. This information tells the mirror network where the IP block that covers the address your mirror uses is located.
If that information is not correct, you’ll need to submit a request directly to the GeoIP provider to amend that information. I’ve not had to do this, however changing a continent may be a challenging task.
The only thing that would be affected is the downstream clients that would use your mirror. Clients that are in Asian countries would preference Asian mirrors and those in the EU would preference EU mirrors. The only thing that I could see being affected by this is if traffic from your mirror to Asia is being routed over the Caucasus Cable System to Bulgaria then around to Asia, instead of across any land-based cable systems. If this is the case, look at BGP routing to prefer a particular upstream carrier who does use land cable networks to Asia.

The continent information is actually something that is entered manually in the database.
If you go to https://www.centos.org/download/mirrors/ and enter "Georgia" you will notice that this newly added Silknet mirror is indeed listed as being in Asia while the other four are in EU (which is not the best name for this region either, but I digress).
So in summary, this is something that Fabian will need to change in the mirror database.

Fixed in DB but yeah, I just used the returned continent from maxmind (script did it).
