Hi,
I own a dedicated server, providing a few personnal services, and freshly configured to act as a CentOS mirror. It's http://centos.quelquesmots.fr/ No BW cap, 150mbps. It’s connected to Iliad/Free.fr network, located in DC3, Vitry-sur-Seine, 61 rue Julian Grimau. Sync happens every 6 hours from eu-msync.centos.org::CentOS
I’ll be glad if you could add it to mirror list. Feel free to contact me if you need any changes in conf or sync, or find any problem with it.
Keep up the good work,
Laurent. PS: It of course runs CentOS ;)
Hey there, What's the sponsor name and address, and mirror contact email?

Hi,

Is my postal address really necessary ?
Regards, Laurent.
Hi,
back from the festivities. I just added your mirror, it should show up in a few hours.

No, it was more about the mail address, I guess :)
I put your mirror down as a private mirror.

Ralph

Hi Ralph, thank you. There’s no need to mark my mirror as private, I’m happy to provide it for anyone.
Regards, Laurent.

It's just marked as private as it is not an organizational mirror (company or university). It is open to anyone :)
Cheers,
Ralph

Hi,
I’m to move the mirror to another server. Same hoster (only difference is DC2 instead of DC3), 200mbps guaranteed/1gbps. Could you please authorize 195.154.164.34 and 2001:bc8:34ba::1 (though ipv6 seems to be a bit flacky, will try to find why).
I will let you know once the switch is to be done (a couple days at most, I guess).
Best, Laurent.
Hi,
Me again. IPV6 looks stable now, but ip has changed, please allow 2001:bc8:34ba:100::1 instead of 2001:bc8:34ba::1 Server is ready to take the load, I’ll switch off the older one very soon. URL will stay the same.
Thanks, Laurent.

Hi, none of the msync.centos.org nodes have an IPv6 address, so syncing will be done only over IPv4 for now. Therefore changes in the server's IPv6 address don't matter at this stage.
If you want to make your mirror available to those using IPv6, you should configure your web server to listen on the IPv6 address as well, and add the relevant AAAA record to DNS for your mirror. If you do this, there is no need to notify the list of these changes, because the IPv6 mirror checker will pick up such changes automatically.
Hi,
Thanks for the information. Will make AAAA point to my server once synchro is OK (which will happen soon, as said by Fabian a couple minutes ago).
Best, Laurent.

hi Laurent,
IP added so you'll be able to sync from that IP in the next 30 minutes
