Good Afternoon,
We are moving our mirror server to a new infrastructure. The new IP for mirror.net.cen.ct.gov is 72.10.120.178, but the source when doing an RSYNC will be 67.218.89.100.
Can you update whatever ACLs need to be updated?
Thanks Mike

Updated ! sorry for delay but not a lot of free time recently
Thank you, looks like rsync is back!
Regarding the probe state on the mirror status page, is that just ping? We will need to update some rules to allow that, so wanted to double check first. Following up on this from last week. We are successfully RSYNCing and have allowed ICMP for 8.43.84.0/22. But our mirror still shows down on the status page. Is there anything else we need to do or allow for us to show up active again?
Thanks

Mirror doesn't seem reachable from various places I tried, so as long as it will not act as a fully public mirror, all our tests will fail, and so mirror will be listed having issues ..
FWIW :
/dev/tcp/mirror.net.cen.ct.gov/80
Timeout like if a firewall was blocking requests, which is of course the opposite side of one wants to have for a *public* mirror :)
LOL whoops :). Just fixed that, port 80 open to the world now. That was kind of important huh. We'll see if the status clears on the status page.
Thanks Fabian! Mike Pennington CEN | Network Engineer Hartford CT | 06105-3702 o 860 622 4566 Member UNconference, June-December, 2020 View available sessions here!
