Hi,
we made available for public use the centos mirror we've been using for our own servers. Outside country speed might not be stellar (up to 10 Mbps), but we have good coverage of Romania (1 Gbps).
Url: ftp://download.srv.ro/pub/centos/ (DVD images included) We sync daily from ftp.iasi.roedu.net (tier 1 mirror). Credits should go to www.srv.ro
This might not be a big deal but it feels nice to give something back to the Centos project.
Keep up the good job!

hummm, your upstream seems to have silently dropped centos 2 and 3 I am fixing the mirror informations and adding your mirror.
Thank you for your support.

Hi again and thanks for adding us. We could sync from somewhere else and also support 2 and 3 versions, that's no problem, just tell me if it is necessary. It would be interesting if you could figure out from your stats how many computers in Romania are still using versions 2 and 3 of Centos.
PS: please fix the mirrors web page, the url sends to some vegetarians site (it's srv.ro, not svr.ro) and there's no link for the FTP archive. thanks :)

No idea about Romania, but for 2 I got requests from 8 different IP adresses and for 3 I got requests from 20 different IP adresses via httpd during the last 6 hours. So it's not that much, but those are still requested (mirror in Germany).
Cheers,
Ralph

ideas for statistic gathering added to the todo list... (it will only collect the centos machines using the default mirror list, though).

ooops, late night typo: fixed http://www.centos.org/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=13 is getting too small to hosts all the Tier2 public mirrors!

Even if it will be a slight approximation, it would still be nice to have those stats.
Thanks Ralph for the feedback! Also, Ralph, can you tell me how much diskspace is required for v 2 & 3?

We changed our sync source to mirrors.nl.kernel.org::centos/, therefore we'll be mirroring 2 and 3 branches as well. Please update your database.
Thanks. Bye bye,
Lucian

it's just a display issue on the page: most of the T2 mirrors in EU are not displayed.
your mirror is still listed at http://mirror-status.centos.org/ and therefore still available through mirrorlist.
