Hi All,
Updated Mirror Versions: All Architectures: All DVD: NO (How do I Add DVDs?)
HTTP: http://mirrors.gitam.edu/centos/ RSYNC: None FTP: None Frequency Modified - Twice Daily.
- Country: India - City: Visakhapatnam - State: Andhra Pradesh - Bandwidth: bandwidth - 1 Gbps - Activated right now 150 Mbps and growing. - Update frequency: Every 12 hours
- Sponsor organisation: GITAM University - Sponsor website: - www.gitam.edu - Mirror Server contact: datasoftindia at gmail.com
For DVDs, you have two options:
1. Get permission to sync from msync-dvd 2. Sync with mirrors who carry DVDs.
We use #2, and have the following rsync settings (two step):
rsync -vaH --numeric-ids --filter='protect *DVD*iso' --filter='protect *torrent' --delete --delete-after --delay-updates msync.centos.org::CentOS /mnt/tera2/centos
rsync -vaH --numeric-ids --filter='include */' --filter='include *DVD*iso' --filter='include *torrent' --filter='exclude *' mirrors3.kernel.org::centos /mnt/tera2/centos

Hello Hassan Bhai
Never mind, using 3 option (--delete --delete-after --delay-updates) seems error.
If I use --delete, why will I use --delete-after ?!
Explanation Please.

helps with data consistency by not removing a file, then putting a partial file in its place while it downloads

Aah... I get it now. You got to cheer up mate. This is not a Bangladeshi gathering. Calling someone by their first / last name (as preferred) is a standard way of how westerners greet each other, and is carried forward to mailing lists and IRCs as well.
Distinguished Mr. Bauani, you should've sent that email to me pesonally, instead of the group. That is considered real nuisance in mailing lists.
Sorry to all the other readers for hijacking this thread with our nitty gritty tit-bits. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi Hassan Bhai
Don't take it personally, I am not telling you to call me with Mr. or any other title, the word 'Bhai' (brother) is enough.
I never heard someone from my country calling me directly with my name unless he / she is well known to me or have good understanding with each other.
I think you don't know nothing about me. It might look list I am acting like a child / school boy but the issue is really serious, when you enter your office and a lowest level worker greeting you by 'hi hassan good morning' (in our country prospect) how do you feel?
Just one sentence, Give Respect to Others to Get Respect from Others.
By the way, list, Sorry for making noise and taking yours valuable time on this silly matter. I am just closing this chapter. Even if you or somebody start to through dust to me, I will be silent.
With Regards
Ahamed Bauani

Regards HASSAN

This is not your country; this is a public mailing list that is read by thousands of people around the world. While I understand that your request is very much a cultural issue for you, you must remember that this list is culturally diverse.
Just one sentence, Give Respect to Others to Get Respect from Others.
Please do the same; I think it safe to say that the readers of this list are not overly concerned with this subject and I think it's been beaten to death at this point. Perhaps further discussion of this might be handled out of band via private email between the the parties involved? Just my opinion, I am not trying to offend you.
Also, can you please:
1) Stop top-posting to centos.org mailing lists.
2) Learn to trim your replies, removing the extraneous and non-applicable text. Example - I removed 229 non-applicable lines from this reply.
These guidelines are published at
http://www.centos.org/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=16
Abiding by these 2 rules makes reading your replies much more pleasant for the rest of us. Thanks :)
John
Thanks Ralph.
