Working against a fedora image can probably work, but only something older than centos 7, so normallly Fedora 19 (so that packages are updated by centos 7 trees). If you can start working on that , that would probably help, and at least produces some "momentum" for the final image :-) OTOH, it would be good to document how to do that "from scratch" when we'll want to produce such image, and each specific thing that needs to be solved for some boards.
