I have used both but I don't remember any advantages with the newer one. I had an issue whereby I was using the serial console, but had a usb keyboard attached the the MP30 , and the output diverted to the VGA output. Very odd. Hook up a monitor if you haven't done so, just to check. -- Mike Howard
