Then get a Raspberry Pi. I use a Raspberry Pi to compile code for a
PocketBeagle, which also lacks a build infrastructor (also for a BBB).
Raspberry Pis are very cheap (US$35) and work well as build boxen. Of course
you could try to set up a cross-build environment. It is just going to be
easier to set up a Raspberry Pi with the proper build toolchain.
