Hmm, I actually like the 5.3 artwork, which I hadn't really seen
until recently (the machines running it are in a lab, which had
been updated, but which I hadn't visited until I had some stuff to
do there).

I agree that the artwork probably shouldn't be the same for two
different major releases of the distro; although I have made my
own login screen in the past, and might again, it's kind of nice
to be able to know what version a machine is running based on the
appearance of the login screen.
