I'd be willing to host the side arches as a mirror.  I'm already hosting Ubuntu, a soon to be full CentOS mirror and a soon to be Fedora Enchilada mirror

You are correct.  IMHO perhaps we should target the upcoming 6 packages.  When 6 is released we plan to go to it ASAP.  I'm already certifying the RHEL 6 platform for our environment using the RHEL 6 Beta software.
