Hi, Ok, so the IA64 build is actually quite straight forward but needs a large disk. We just need to start the builders and make sure it can churn through all packages done since 5.0 - if all is well, then things *should* just build, since they did so upstream! and the i386/x86_64 packages for CentOS built out of the same code base. Once we can get to the stage that 5.5 is at now, we can look at doing an iso set and build tree. No idea how long this is going to take. I am presently moving the 5.0 + updates tree's into place ( the src.rpms ), once that is done we can see what sort of a buildrate we get per day and do some numbers from there on. I don't want to overload dev.c.o with the output, so let me have a chat with Ralph and Tru and we can workout what is a good place to post this content. Ideally, it would be good to have a Failed: report that lists the issues encountered during the build be posted online right away. So people can look at it and see if anything specific needs doing. For things that do build, we can setup a six hourly 'sweep' that moves packages into place. More details in a day or so. - KB
