before we get too far down this path, its worth looking at the rpkg and
centpkg stuff that Brian Stinson is doing as well - i suspect longer
term thats where we want to be at ( including the python path that is
easier to automate around ).

Happy to keep making get_sources ( and push_sources in time ) be more
capable... but lets make sure we've got the right longer term plan in
mind here.
