So my problem was that I was looking at 5Server (and I have a RHEL 5.11 server
install) and only thunbird 24.8.0 is there.  Now in hindsight it makes sense
to look for TB in Workstation rather than Server, but I wonder why the
disparity.  But that's a RHEL issue, not CentOS.  Sorry for the noise.
