I can confirm that it works.  On a machine which currently has qemu-kvm-ev-2.3.0-31.el7.16.1.x86_64 — running yum install qemu-kvm-ev tries to install qemu-kvm-ev-2.3.0-31.0.el7_2.21.1.x86_64
