Guarantees?  Assurance?  With CentOS?  There was a stated goal of as 
close as possible to 100% binary compatibility, but there were never any 
guarantees with CentOS.


The CentOS developers have done and are doing their jobs very well 
indeed, and as time went on their project became more and more trusted 
due to the high quality.  But there has never been a guarantee or assurance.
